There was a good turnout for this years AGM, both in the room and on zoom. The routine business including the Captain and Treasurers reports, went smoothly and the committee was elected unopposed. The main discussion was on the motion to become a CLG (Company Limited by Guarantee) and members brought up several useful points to action now in the Articles and to consider in the future. The motion was passed by more than a two thirds majority, so the committee will be progressing the club to CLG status. After the AGM we discussed the the 2025 sailing program which will be on the Clyde and to the Hebrides maybe even the Orkneys again. There will be training courses and club cruises including a Whisky cruise and racing out of Tarbert. We also discussed the new yacht search and training requirements.
